Bantam Duck Page

Would any of those groups be more likely than the others to include non-call bantam ducks? I think I looked at most of those a while back and it seemed like everything was either bantam chicken or call duck.
The calls are adorable, but since we have a couple that were supposed to be bantam, but seem to have had an alternate daddy, and one Pekin (a girl, thank goodness) I don't want anything smaller than what we already have. Or noisier.

I have a pair of snowy calls and thinking about taking the eggs from my sitting hen and replacing them with 5 snowy ducklings? Good or bad idea? Anyone have an opinion

I bought them at an auction. I think her eggs are rotten.. they should have hatched by now and she has been getting off alot. They're names are Owen and Oakley.

!

I have found that Call Ducks are not good parents. They will not hatch eggs, and they will fight with babies. I have seen them try to kill the ducklings. I woould give the ducklings to a broody chicken.

I guess I've been really lucky. My calls have been great Moms. Last year I did have a duck that only took care of her babies for about 10 days but I think it was because I tried to keep her and babies by themselves and she didn't like being away from her group for that long. I guess it just depends. I wonder if it is something that is inherited. I've known dogs that were horrible mothers and so were the daughters. Interesting.

Hi everyone! I`m not sure this is the right place to post this, but since it pertains to call ducks, I thought this might be a good place to ask.

So I got a pair of white call ducks about 2 months ago and they're currently living in a large dog kennel. I`m feeding them flock raiser and corn. The hen just started laying about a week ago and everything was fine until yesterday when she started holding her wing wrong. She seems fine other than her wing, but I don't know whats wrong. Any suggestions?
