well now I am sad, I lost Paula, I just don't know what happened, she was has been fine, went out to tell her good morning and kiss her she was laying in her brooder dead, oh I cried, then went to the yesterdays call and indie hatchlings and 6 of them are drowned in the biddy waterer, what the devil is up with that, never, ever have I had a duck to drown in the dang biddy water little red round disk with a quart water jar, lord, I am now aggrevated.

wow, you need to take all the change out of your right pocket put it in your left, stand on one leg, close your eyes and hop around in a circle counterclockwise 3 times. saying "I can do this"... you need some new karma.
best of luck! TD
Linda, I am NOT having the best Spring Either! My one and Only Female Call Duck was dead the other morning. I have hatched out 4 babies from her and came home from work yesterday and one baby was dead. It was a week old, eating drinking and fine. So I do not know if it choked or what.
I have the eggs I got from you in the bator so hoping for more Calls. Will let you know.
I hoper you day gets brighter Luvducks, and I sure hope you hatch those eggs and get the joy of more calls, if not you holla at me we will work something out, I had a buff orphington go broody and she is a big chicken LOL so I put 2 dozen call eggs under her, my white call is setting on a dang nest full of eggs, 2 Black east indies are setting on a butt load of eggs, if these other would go broody I would be in there, lol
Oooh, look at those cute butterscotch calls! I have a butterscotch pair of calls and I just love them.
I haven't uploaded the pictures yet, but I'll share them in this thread when I get a chance--I currently have two black east indies ducklings! I had my broody serama hens sit on the eggs for the first twenty or so days and then took them and hatched them in the incubator. They're so darling and energetic and fun! And tiny, too! Their parents, Teal and Jade, are fairly flighty and I'm hoping that these two will be friendlier with lots of handling from me from day one.
