. I can't even make it to our local chickenstock on the 25th I'm so broke. Hell, I moved in with my man and there's no mortgage here, just utilities. I don't know how I did it when I did have rent before I moved here. But now I have 40-some chickens and 22 ducks so that takes up a lot of cash. I can't afford to put my convertible on the road this year and I have to travel 40-some miles round trip 2-3 days a week to doc appts and at $4.20 a gal in a truck...

I understand the brain being shot out. I'm lucky I remember my name some days lol. I guess 20 brain surgeries will do that

Like I said, I'll keep you in mind if I come up with money some how. I keep telling my man I just want a sugar daddy for more ducks, my car on the road and a new coffeemaker...that didn't go over too well

It's not chemicals, I bite (chew) my fingers. A nervous habit I have been fighting since I was 5. I have tried everything. I know it looks horrible. It hurts, too.

Those are boooteeefull!!!
Where did you get them?

I'm guessing blue fawn pied and maybe a grey pied?

They arrived from Ohio (Quail_Antwerp) and good eyes on the colors! They laid while shipping, so looking forward to settling them in here.

You are very lucky to get them. Blue Fawn is rare and even the Pieds are rare.
They look quite at hime in their new home! Congrats!

Thanks, had no idea they were so rare of a color.

I have a silly question. What is a pied? I mean i've heard blue pied silver pied and so on, what makes them pied?

Second photo I posted the female on the right shows pied very well. The white on her wings showing instead of her being the pattern all over. Pied animals have white (wouldn't call them splashes) maybe patches of white describes them best.

pied occurs in all sorts of poultry
It's a genetic pattern, not really a color.
Yes it is white patches of color over the normal body and true color of the bird.
so in calls, say you had a grey, with white patches, thats a grey pied, colors is still grey with a pied pattern to it.

peafowl for example have 14-15 colors, but 5 patterns

so even with 14 colors, you can still have 200 different types of peafowl

colors dont generally mix but you can add multiple patterns when available to a single bird
