nope with any mallard derived bird, especially mallard patterened, colored head always = boy

Yep.... I saw one last weekend... A little black girl with wry tail..

she was just a tiny little thing with obvious hatch defects that made her very small. I had one myself as well- a tiny little girl who at one year old still have a few tufts of baby fuzz. Pity you couldnt breed form them with the defects they had. A smaller version would be cute.

But seriously- I have never heard of a bantam Runner.
