Backyard Chickens has been really helpful, as my daughter got Bantam Easter Egger chicks from Cackle Hatchery on 25 March 2020. So we have been lurking in the forum since then, reading tons, and are just now joining. The baby chicks are all grown up chooks now. We had to find homes for most of the 21 roosters out of the 30 baby chicks. CH does not sex baby bantam EEs, and we ordered 25 but they sent 30 (they all lived and are healthy, after a couple of brief bouts with a few pasty buts and so on). We have two roosters and 9 hens left (though we have to rehome one special needs rooster as my daughter has a new baby and I'm a student and have to leave the US to go back to the UK soon). The Bantam Easter Eggers have all been lovely (though some of the roos were less friendly/more aggressive than the two that we kept). The eggs are very pretty shades of blue and green or off-white/beige tinted with green or blue.
