Hi,

I have 4 Bantam Legbars, a cream legbar, a spotted sussex and 2 Cotswold Legbars and none of them lay yet. The oldest must be 9 months old by now. The Burford Browns that are in with the Cotswolds lay every day without fail and another bantam which is in with the bantams lays nearly every day but thats it. What could be wrong with them? They are all wormed and de mited and get lots of food and space. I also have 4 hybrids that are ex battery chickens and they lay everyday too and they're getting on a bit!! Help please :)

Welcome to BYC. Breeds and birds within breeds can vary greatly as to the onset of laying and the quantity of eggs laid. Since your 'production' birds are laying well, I doubt that husbandry is amiss here. The non layers are just slower at maturing.

What exactly do you feed them?

Thanks for getting back to me. They get layers pellets, vermex mixed in when necessary and mixed corn as a treat daily.
