Bantam Only Crazy Egg Chain

Here are my Silver partridge & blue partridge girls with a blue roo in the background

Here is the silver partridge hen with the splash roo. (Please ignore my dirty feet.)

Here is my splash partridge hen with another blue roo. (Please ignore the little buff fri22led Cochin roo, he's still too young to breed.)

Only ones I didn't catch in the pix are the splash hen, buff hen & blue hen...but you get a general idea. These were just taken tonight.

Mine...offer 6 partridge silkie eggs..pics in profile album.

quail don't have a 'go home' mechanism built in like chickens do... personally i keep my chicks together but separate them out later because i free range all my chickens once they're 3-4 weeks old or more. my breeding quail live in the house and the ones growing out for the freezer have an outside pen. i have 4 hens and 1 (young) roo inside... once he starts doing his 'job' then i'll be able to start hatching more again.

Yep, Just as long as they are in a cage.
Chicken poo can give them a disease, so don't put them where they will get at that. Its a LOONNGG debate, but basically game birds can get stuff from chickens that are healthy and it can kill them. They don't always, so it gets confusing. There are a thousand debates about ti on the quail and pheasant etc forums.
