Several times I have found my bantam rooster on his back. He can't get up and the first time I thought he was dead. One time he was in the snow and I thought he was dead. Today he just squawked till I went looking for him and flipped him over. Is this normal? Are my bigger chickens tipping him over? One day I nudged him out of my way at the doorway and he fell a foot or so and landed on his back so I wonder if he is just clumsy. He has gotten a little frisky with a couple of hens but in general I haven't seem him being very aggressive, or hens aggressive toward him.

Welcome!
What breed? There are birds who are so wide that they have this problem, which isn't a good survival trait at all. I'd guess that either he's built like a tank and can't right himself for that reason, or he's got a balance problem generally, something not right in his head.
Poor guy!
Either way, he doesn't sound like a good breeding prospect to me, and pretty vulnerable free ranging especially.

Poor guy! Funny, but also sounds like a high-maintenance situation for you to have to deal with. Are you able to keep him in a protected area?
