My neighbor has the cutest two little bantam roosters. She doesn't want to keep both, and i would love one for my bantam hen, the only bantam in the flock. The only problem is that i have a full size Columbian Rock rooster. The bantam rooster is super small, not aggressive, and i think would stay out of my big guy's way, but I'm not sure and i don't want to take the little rooster until I'm sure they won't fight. My neighbor also has a full size rooster but he isn't as aggressive as mine is, but the two bantams and him have been living happily together. Does anyone have a bantam rooster with an aggressive big rooster that don't fight together? Do you think the little bantam would stay out of the big rooster's way?

You have a bantam hen in with your big guy? Do you have another pen? Does your neighbor have suggestions on that?

Okay, here I go... you need more chickens. Congratulations. That roo is probably going to like that banty hen the best, and she probably doesn't need that much attention. I think a banty house would be nice for about three hens and that guy.

But that's a whole 'nother can of worms. You can probably put them in together. The big guy can peck him, but I doubt he's going to be quick enough to do it twice.

Yes, the bantam is in with my big guy. He doesn't try to mate her that much either. I don't have another pen. I can ask my neighbor about this whole thing. I'm thinking it will be fine, and she is pretty feisty, so I don't know if he will over mate. If so, i know someone who wants a bantam rooster. I agree, bantams are pretty quick. I don't think he'll get pecked twice. I think, before making a decision, I would like to hear from some people who have bantam roosters with big roosters, just to hear what they have to say about how the little rooster to big rooster relationship is. Thank you for your help!
