My new blue dutch

Do you have Cream Light Brown Dutch, also? This is a nice pair of Blue Cream Light Browns. They are a variety, not to be bred together unless you want mostly BCLB Splash birds, you may know this? We love the blue color, but it is a recessive gene, and needs to have its "opposite", a Cream Light Brown mate--(NOT LIGHT BROWNs) and produces (theoretically) half of the offspring in each variety.

The Genetics of color is a great study, and hatcheries (not your birds) seem to have no clue about this, offer mixed colors that may not breed true--or cross breeds, that may produce the variety, but not the Dutch TYPE--

Please: Am not trying to offer any discouragement, but like to have "new" Dutch breeders, be sure to have the information about correct breeding of Dutch varieties, to produce exhibition or Dutch for sale. If Splash chicks are unexpected, do not want you believeing that the breeder sold you crossbreds! This is a very nice pair--and perhaps you already have the Cream Light browns to go with them? (or maybe you really want to hatch Splash Dutch)--they can be lovely birds, males, no two alike, females, beautiful mostly white with pale breast and varied body color feather in small bits. (AND while you can expect mostly Splash birds, you may get some BCLBs, even a CLB is possible! Double recessives can be okay.) ENJOY- Good luck

I saw the blue dutch and the guy who had they sold me these as a pair.I am new to bantams and really don't know much so any tips I appreciate. This is the only Dutch I have I am interested in getting a few more.
