The rooster is the same dark colour as the mother hen , I’m totally new to hens and breeding them so I’m not sure about colouring ect but I bought a sliver Sussex pair last spring. I have a white silkie rooster and 1 grey and 1 black silkie hens but I thought my rooster was too young to have bred but maybe not , will the chick stay the brown colour? In the sussex, I see two boys and a girl. What colour is the rooster? Wondering why one looks like a light instead of Silver.
That silkie is not part sussex. A silkie sussex cross would have smooth feathers... do you own silkie roosters and hens?
Your birds are very beautiful! Don't get to see a whole lot of Silver sussex on here.

Surely hope you find good homes for them.Anyone interested in the roosters? (Ireland ) free to a good home
I wouldn’t have a issue keeping them But I have 2 roosters already and I’m afraid of them fighting each otherSurely hope you find good homes for them.
I’d take them in a heartbeat, but I’m in the US.![]()
