What breed is my chick!? Feathered black legs, small in size, silver color. It is a bantam special chick from Ideal Poultry. Thanks!

After looking at what ideal offers it looks to possibly a self blue color. As far as breed it looks like a silkie without a big topnot. That's about as far as I can figure out. Hopefully someone else has a better answer for you.

Looks like a Self Blue Old English Game bantam to me. But the shank feathering is throwing me. I wonder if it will molt out and not stay.

It could be a really hatchery quality Silkie, with no fifth toe or a crest. Other than that, I'm not sure. No hatchery that I know of sells mixes; I assume the breeds are carefully managed and kept separate to prevent interbreeding.

Cochin usually have pink or yellow skin, and usually there's more to the foot feathers. I also considered d'uccle and d'anvers, but no muffs and again that outer toe isn't feathered. It's an interesting mystery.

Most of ideal's feathered footed bantams are: Brahmas, Cochins, Silkies and d'Uccles

Looks like you got a watchamacallit chick.

Here is my self blue OEG (i believe) from Ideal. They look almost identical except the feathered feet.
