So, me and mom found a yellow chick in an assortment of bantams at our local Runnings feed store. It had 5 toes and a single comb and I thought maybe it had a beard. So I figured it was a salmon faverolle bantam....but now that its getting older its getting all white feathers! The beard is not there anymore either....it may just be loosing its baby fluff or it was just so fluffy as a chick it just seemed to have a beard....but I know the only breed that I can think of with five toes are dorkings, faverolles, sultans, houdans, and silkies. So I'm lost....would it be possible to end up with a white faverolle from a hatchery???

Thanks! Ill try and post some pictures later this weekend.

I'm still stumped on what I got post pics many ours are the same lol

Hatcheries do not have bantam salmon Faverolles, let alone the bantam whites. Those are on the brink of extinction in the US. Hatcheries won't have bantam Dorkings either, so that leaves Sultan, Houdan and silkie. Silkies are easy to identify by the black skin. I'm betting it's a Sultan.

X2. I've been seeing a lot of people on here with sultans from feed stores lately.

It has a single comb though so you think it's just a typical hatchery mutt? Probably a sultan mix?

Whatever happened with your white faverolle here? I too got a white faverolle from McMurrays and am trying to find more whites to go with it...hatchery or not, my white faverolle girl is beautiful :)
