why do you want to stop naming them?

Because I got a trio of Wyandottes that were supposed to be a SLW rooster, a SLW pullet, and a SLW x buff Orp pullet. Before I got them, I was told that the SLW pullet was really a cockerel; the second pullet, just started mating with all my laying hens last week, after I had named her "Marigold". Now I've had to change his name to "Marty Boy".
This is the first year that I've hatched. I've got 13 chicks and I'm not sure which ones are cockerels (and therefore, dinner) and which ones are pullets, and even some of the pullets I'm sharing with a friend, so it's easier not to name them. I probably will after they start laying though.
