Bantams breed/silkie colors? **Better photos this time?! lol

Thank you ALL who answered! When someone mentions a breed, I google it,
and try to see for myself how close the resemblance is..
And I gotta say.. Some of these breeds look SO much alike at this age, wow! lol

I do the Chicky C is a Sultan!! And I couldn't be happier! I think Sultans are adorable!
I do have to say, she/he does look like a tiny little Furby that has come to life!

No, from what i've read there are a few 5 toe breeds:

Silkies
Sultans
Faverolle
Dorking
Houdan

(Everyone - If i'm wrong on any breeds, please correct me?)

On the one where there is a debate as to whether it is a Brahma or a Cochin, just look at the comb. Cochins have single combs and Brahmas have pea combs (a pea comb would be just a wide kind of flat spot). There is a possibility that your chipmunk colored, bearded/muffed chicks are D'Anvers.

the questionable chick could be a mottled cochin or a light brahma, and I agree its pretty easy to figure out - single comb = cochin flat peacomb = brahma.

I say brahma because it has no color on the head or face which tends to be indicitive of mottled cochins. My light chicks I had were either dusty black/gray or dark black like this on the back and neck area, but they never had any color on the face.

Thank you both! I like Brahmas and Cochins, so i'm pretty content with either! lol
I tried lookin at pics of Brahma chicks, and Cochin chicks, trying to compare the combs to this one..
I really can't tell! lol

Your yellow footed "silki" may be a bantam faverolle..... they also have five toes and feathered feet.... I have 6 standard size in the brooder now, total sweethearts!
