I have mostly Bantams d’Uccle and a few silkies 4 months old on July 5th and yesterday the 7th I found an egg in their run. Can’t believe it, is this just a one time fluke or could I be expecting more? Any one else experience eggs with 4 month old Bantams? I think they are so young to produce but I have no other explanation for the egg.

My bantam Cochins started laying at about 4.5 months old. I don’t remember exactly when my silkies started, I think it was at about 5 months old. Everyone seemed fine with it, and they produce quite a few eggs, when they aren’t brooding

Update
Yes my new Bantams are definitely laying at 4 months old, I had another egg yesterday and very happy they are starting to lay. These eggs are really small in comparison to my 1 year old Bantam eggs. Thanks for everyone’s feed back I really appreciate the info!

I have 3.5 month old bantams that just laid eggs today, I got 2 in one day. I'm in shock. I started googling to see if I could find anyone else with the same experience.
