I have 2 bantams one is a rooster, and 6 standard breed hens. Can I hatch chicks from this combination? Would the bantam be able to successfully breed the larger girls?

A lot depends upon the size difference and the determination/skill of the rooster. Check the eggs of the large fowl for the 'bulls eye' appearance to determine if he is getting the job done.

If he can figure out how to "make contact" and the hens accept him as a mate, there shouldn't be a problem. If there are hens his size available, he would likely choose to mate them instead of the LF hens.

As previously stated, when you cracked their eggs, examine the yolk for a white bullseye. This indicates a fertile egg, if you only fine a white dot without concentric darker and lighter circles around it, the eggs are infertile.

Yes there is a hen his size size but he never's seems to want to mate with her he always goes for the larger breeds
