Are all Bantam roosters Bad. I am raising 3 different types and all the Roos attack when in pen.
My Rhode Island Roos seem fine, and don't mind me in the pens.
Any thoughts

No, all bantam roosters are not "bad" in this way. I have WBT and BBT Japanese bantams, Dutch bantams, Belgian Booted mille fleur bantams, as well as Silkies and the only roos that wanted to act big and bad so far have been a couple of the Silkie roos! What breeds of bantams do you have that you are having this problem with? Some are worse than others, and with some, it is kinda like people, different temperament, some are just plain mean!
I'll have to get back to you on that one as I'm supposed to have seabrights( but I'm not sure what the different names are as they don't look excally like the pictures I've seen). I have 3 sets and will takesoom pics after the rains and post. Maybe someone will recognize them.
Thanks
Hi, we raise Silkies and our first rooster was a barn burner. You had to keep an eye on him every minute cause he would jump you the second your back was turned. "Can't abide by a rangy Rooster" but eventually struck a stale mate with that bird, his name was Soldier. Must say though he was beautiful and protected the flock very well. One day we hatched out a bunch of Silkie eggs and wound up with about 5 roosters and once they came of size one of them tore old Soldier up. We have since decided that one rooster is enough and the one we have now is a sweet heart.
Bantams roos have a rep for being pretty fiesty and I know the couple of Cochine roosters we had were also tough. But its not just Banties that can be problematic, when I was young my grandma had a Leghorn that terrorised me. I can remember being chased by that bird every time I came out of the house. In those days the chickens just roamed freely around the place and would hold up in the barn (or trees) at night. Grandma always knew where to find the eggs but for me every day was an Easter Egg hunt.
My first 3 OEGB roos were horribly mean! But the black OEGB roo I had recently was sweet until the day he was killed by the darn coon.
My roo in with my older girls is a banty cochin/ silkie mix and while he isn't "pet" sweet, he is definitely great with his girls and has never made any attempt to attack any human... whether it is me, my 5yo, or the older man who came to by to buy some of his babies.
