if i want a banthem to lay green eggs how do i cross breed them ?

You need some Araucanas, Easter Eggers or Ameraucanas.THere are bantams for all three of those.

nah you dont. If you plan on buying egs on ebay let me tell you this: 80-90% of the eggs advertised as Ameraucana or araucanas are actually Easter Eggers.

Not much in some cases, a lot in other cases.

"Easter Eggers" are mutts that lay blue, green, or sometimes pink or brown eggs. They are mixes with Ameraucanas, or Ameraucanas that are not of the officially accepted colors.

Bantam ameraucanas are quite nice birds, IMHO. They lay large eggs for a bantam, and they are attractive birds. If I had more time and space, I'd get more of em.

the people that my feed store uses doenst carry them and i dont want to have to get 25 birds

I don't know, I've never heard of a "banthem".

I know, you mean bantam, but I just crack up at every little thing...

Ask your feed store if they will add the chicks you want to their order. Different hatcheries call Easter Eggers different things; just be aware that the chances of getting an actual araucana or ameraucana from a hatchery are pretty slim.

You can also try to find the birds you want from a breeder or on Craig's list
