Is it possible to mix Bantams with, say, Americaunas or Barred Rocks if I raise them together?

Yes. I had 2 golden sexlinks and 2 RIR hens in the pen. I added 4 bantam orpingtons and 2 EEs. Then I added 3 Polish. Everyone gets along fine. I see plenty of mating between large roos and Bantam hens. Have some of those in my incubator. Will be interesting to see what we come up wiith.

Yes. If the big chickens excessively bullied the small ones, there'd be a bigger chance the bantams would get injured, but it's unlikely. I had a huge hen who was a month older than my bantams and lived with them, and I have a leghorn hen now who is tolerated by the bantams (the roosters pick on her occasionally).
