Bantoms in winter

Hi

We have 2 bantoms in an outdoor coop, with 3 hens. Do they need to be kept in the garage for winter, or is a heat lamp enough?

Unless they're little chicks or a cold intolerant breed (oriental gamefowl perhaps) they don't need extra heating.

No just give them a good dry and no draft place they should do just fine.

A lot depends on the breed of bantam and where you are. If you've got bantam cochins in Miami, that's one answer. If you've got Seramas in Anchorage, that's another answer.

i live michigan and it gets cold her my freind dp good with out any heat but they are in the gorage
