Bantum Rooster

I have had chickens for three years and this is the first year with a rooster. I was given a bantum rooster. He has just started breeding with my full size girls. How will this turn out if I hatch some off the eggs. Will the chick's be bantum or a mix or what.

Thanks how will they be for egg production. It's only a perc really my girls are mostly for bug control and they do a great job. My rooster is a American game bantum if that's right and he is a bug eating machine.

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Depends on what breeds you hens are, if they are laying breeds, the chicks probably won't be as good as their mothers since the father is a Game and they are not that good of layers.

I think mixes are fun. Kind of like a surprise as you just never know how they will turn out.
