I would like to go to all bantam d/t the fact that I can free range my girls and don't have predator problems. I have bantam cochins as we speak and don't plan on gettin rid of them but would like bird with better egg production and don't need any more sitters. I have one full size leghorn and wouldn't mind trying the bantam variety. Anybody out there like the egg production of their breed? My cochins have been rock solid thru our winters here in nw ohio and that would be a factor in choosing a breed. Thanks for the input.
