(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm sort of new. I had bantam chickens (and meat chickens once, not my favorite) growing up. Now my husband and I have a small flock of them ourselves that we started about a year ago when we moved into the country(ish).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
6 Silkies, 4 bantam Cochins, 1 young Japanese bantam, 2 young Old English Game Bantams, and 3 young bantams (not sure what they are)
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silkies, bantam Chocins, Japanese bantam, Old English Game Bantams, some other kind of bantams
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Probably a Google search when I was looking for info on raising chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Lots--sewing, knitting, painting, astronomy, other animals, etc., etc., etc.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have 4 miniature pinschers, an angora rabbit, the chickens, and a few other critters. I am an attorney, and we live in Texas, near the DFW area. And we love the Texas Rangers!!
