On Sept.12, we gave our little banty cross 28 Jumbo and texas A&M eggs to set. today is day 16. when I checked this afternoon one of the eggs was pipped.
not sure how this is going to go but we have an incubator and a brooder ready in case assistance is needed.

Hi all,
I'm a crazy stay at home mom that was looking for a fun project/hobby for my girl and I. I stumbled across a cheap incubator that came with 4 quail eggs. One egg hatched at day 14 and is doing very well. The other 3 eggs are at day 20. I think I see the eggs rocking but no pips I guess they are called. I welcome and advice.

Are you leaving babies with the hen or putting them in the brooder? And to nadski, if they're rocking then they're alive, don't open the incubator and make sure that the humidity is high enough, or the membrane in the egg could shrink.Just keep watching, it can take a couple of days for them to sort themselves out.

We're leaving them with her. She is a very attentive mother.

Update us regularly! I love natural incubation, it's great to see a broody with chicks.
