I appreciate your kind words.Following to learn... But I just gotta say, congratulations on doing something so difficult!! You really care about the little guy and it shows. I bet he is so relieved to be able to eat and drink a bit easier. Sending all my best wishes for his health! He's lucky to be in your flock.
He is able to get more water in him... he has been manic when trying, knocking his waterer every which way. He is much calmer now.
I think im going to dissolve a piece of baby aspirin in his water and give him a little scrambled egg.
Now that I can see he has nothing (at least directly in his mouth) I'm less inclined to worry about choking.
My last old boy i brought up had what I think now was probably canker back in the rear of his mouth, likely extending into his esophagus. I gave him a scrambled egg and went to take care of the chickens, he died while I was gone, presumably choked. So that experience probably fueled me trying to get any obstruction out of this boy.

All we can do is try to keep learning.
