Hello, I have three young Greenfire line Barbu de Watermael roosters I would like some input on. I believe one is "quail" colored, as well as all of my current hens from this batch. The light one is much brighter white in person. The more orange one had a completely orange head as a younger chick. The Watermaels are much flightier than my Mille Fleur D'uccles were as chicks and do not like their pictures taken.
This batch had 4 roosters and 4 hens from appearances and combs. One hen broke my heart and had severe wry neck, but that is healing up with vitamin E and scrambled egg with hand feeding watered down feed for a week. My newest batch from GF has 2 with the little orange heads. 6 total chicks, no idea on sex yet.
