Most of my clock besides my one too are having this problem. Their backs (not butts) are bald. There are a few feather sticks trying to grow. They also are bald behind their heads, right when the combs stop. They are acting normal, and do not have mites. I know my rooster isn't overbreeding them. Could it be from last falls molt???

It sounds like rooster damage to me. He doesn't have to be overbreeding them, he could just be very rough. Is he a young rooster that hasn't perfected his technique yet? Or perhaps the hens put up a bit of a fight and don't make it easy for him.
