bare bellies...feather picking?

I see that this is an old thread, but I'm thankful for the search function in this forum.
So rather than start a new topic, I'll just ask my questions here. LOL!
One of my new RIR's has a bare belly, just like in the pic above. Just her, nobody else. It is soft, and not red or inflamed or anything that would make me think it's from mites. We have only had her for less than a week, so this has just happened. She is only about a year old, they all just started laying. Is is possible that she is broody, even though we've been gathering all the eggs every day? This broody business is all new to me. I was curious about her bare belly, and so that is why I'm here. However, I did notice she has labored breathing. Aaaand... Somebody has diarrhea, but we don't know who yet. That could be totally unrelated, not sure.
