Bare bottom!

I recently had a hen(freckles) that I noticed she was losing feathers just on her bottom until the whole area around the vent and her bottom were bare...I checked her well for parasites and didnt see anything. I cleansed the area daily with sterile water and applied purple spray to keep the other hen's from picking at her. After approx 2 weeks she passed away! it's still a mystery to me what she had now oreo one of the other hen's in the flock is losing feathers just on her chest area. Anyone with any ideas other then parasites? As I checked the entire flock and saw none. I'm concerned the same thing will happen with oreo!

It sounds as if someone in the flock is feather pecking/plucking.

I dont believe its picking or bullying that's why I'm so dumbfounded...she also was being a loner staying in the corner of the coop, not perching at night, I could tell she sidnt feel well
