So I have an interesting question. Something I have been researching since last fall.. one of my 6, now two year old girls, Black SexLink, never molted last fall (all the rest did but her). She also laid the whole time also. Now they were free range for the first year of their life until last fall when I fenced in about quarter acre for their protection as one disappeared over the winter. I let them out to roam when I am home and outside, usually the weekends. Soon after I put the fence up this one in question has had a bald spot basically where her crop is and it's always red like it's been rubbed. She used to and sometimes still does, go back and fourth along the fence. She seems happy and content and roams "their" area just fine more than not. And they are, like most backyard chickens, spoiled within reason. I am assuming she is still stressed because of the fence? And if so, any suggestions on how get her feathers back? In the fall and throughout the winter they get the rooster booster in their water once to twice a week and in the winter they get plenty of protein to supplement the loss of bugs since we get lots of snow. Any ideas and suggestions would be great.

Does her crop hit the fence when she paces?
Pics would help here.
I am not completely sure if it does or not. This is the best I could get, she doesn't like her photo taken at all.
