We are thinking a bobcat. That’s really the only thing that would have had the strength to rip the wire the way it was and would hop up and walk the block wall to get to them. Other than bobcats, owls and hawks are the main predators out here.
She’s so pretty!! We must have the same or very similar hybrids! And man I’m so sorry for your loss… isn’t weird how domesticated cats know chickens are off limits? Or at least mine do, I can’t speak for all cats, I suppose. Ive lost one to a raccoon, because we had no idea they could unlock a simple latch, and another one to a dog because the coops tipped over during a hurricane, and someone’s dog got loose.Here’s a better, more current pic of mineI think she’s about 3-3.5 months old.
I went out one morning and the other one was missing. I looked everywhere. I finally saw where the wire was pushed down on the roof, pulled away from the two boards it was secured between. There was 1 little stripped feather on the top of the run and a couple in the wire where she was pulled throughThey liked to sleep on the top of their house so they were easy to grab I guess

I know if 2 of my dogs ever had the chance they would have dinner for sure. Our 3rd dog is one of the chickens lol. I hear we have raccoons here but I’ve never seen one. Hope I never do!!
Oh man I got this one hanging around, but the coops are pretty solid so there hasn’t been any issues. He’s easy to chase off too.I named him One Cheek Wonder because he has no tail.That’s awful! I’m sorry
I think he was just born that way because he walks just fine.

little stinker! Glad you can scare him away! I would let my 2 other dogs out if I ever saw one in my yard!
