Hi, Flock! I hope you're all well!
So, I've been giving my buff orpington cockerel crowing lessons - he's not interested. My barnevelder (Verity), however, immediately answers me back! In looking at specifics on the barnevelders, I'm wondering if "she" is not a "Verity" - but a "Ross". She/he's 15-17 wks...
Meanwhile, I have a gimpy salmon favorelles. Violet flew out of the coop and tried to grab the fence the 2nd or 3rd day after the "kids" were moved outside. She's been gimpy ever since. She doesn't seem to be in pain - and she's eating and not being picked on. But, she has lost her face "fluff". Her inner toes curl up and on of her outer ones is broken back. She absolutely doesn't want to her feet touched (though she doesn't really mind cuddles). She still roosts and doesn't seem to be struggling in any way except that she's "gimpy". struggling in any way except that she's "gimpy".
This is our first flock, so if you have any encouragement, suggestions, or even answers - I'd love it. Thanks in advance.
