Hello everyone i need help selecting a rooster(s) for my flock i currently have 1 splash rooster and silver/black hens and i am looking too add splash hens and a silver/black rooster so i can have a wider variety of chicks i have kept 6 hens and 2 roosters from my previous hatches (which i believe are gold/blue but i’m not sure so please correct me) but the goal is too have 6-10 of each colour hen and one of each rooster (they are free range from sun up till sun down and i can afford to take care of that many)
but i need help making a decision whether i should keep one rooster i have hatched or go out and buy a red/blue because i’m not sure what colour these roosters should be because they are certainly not visibly silver which i have been told they should be (i would really love a genetic break down to help me understand more because i’m fairly new too this but i’m very passionate and love my chickens) but any way i will attach 2 pictures of each one to help me decide which will grow out to be a better bird for breeding (they are about 10 weeks so i will keep them a while longer)
