Barnevelder hen crowing

Hi there, I'm hoping that someone can reassure me about my noisy little Barnevelder! She is about 7.5 months old, and she crows A LOT I'm really hoping it's because she's the dominant hen (she's a feisty little thing ) but she's not laid yet so I'm just checking.

Dominant hen, definitely NOT a cockerel.

Thank you so much!!! She's my favourite of all of them and we're not allowed roosters. But oh my goodness the crowing!!! No comments from neighbours yet but I stand in the coop every morning at 5:30am and give her a little pat when she starts up - not that it stops her She's about half the size of the other chickens so she jumps up to get in their face and they all run away

You may be tempted to give treats to stop her crowing. Don't. It will only encourage the crowing.

Could you take a video of her crowing? I’ve never seen a hen crow.

I'll take my phone out tomorrow morning and see if I can get a photo! She arches her neck and everything

I'm wondering if it's because we live right next to the bush, it's Spring so all the native birds are really active, it could be in response to that perhaps.
