Hello BYC crew,
I have this 11 week old Barnvelder “pullet” that is starting to look a little red in the comb and acts dominant towards the other pullets. I’m hoping I’m wrong, and she might just be bossy but it looks like Barnvelders are difficult to sex until they lay or crow. Any experts out there that can chime in?
The pattern on her wings and sides is beautiful but her neck feathers definitely come to a point and “she” has that iridescent sheen on the black parts.
