This is a newly hatched chick. I know it is half Easter Egger since we only have one rooster. It has a white dot on the top of its head— but it’s not barred rock, because it hatched from a white egg
The options for mamas would be white leghorn, brown leghorn, polish (white crested black and black laced white) or salmon favorelle (unlikely). I was guessing brown leghorn, but unsure. Has a pea comb and slate colored legs, with aforementioned white dot on top of head and some more white on tips of wings and a little on chest. (A second chick from the same batch also hatched with almost identical markings.). Does someone with knowledge about genetics care to weigh in? Thanks in advance!
