Barnyard crossbreed chick IDing

This is a newly hatched chick. I know it is half Easter Egger since we only have one rooster. It has a white dot on the top of its head— but it’s not barred rock, because it hatched from a white egg :confused: The options for mamas would be white leghorn, brown leghorn, polish (white crested black and black laced white) or salmon favorelle (unlikely). I was guessing brown leghorn, but unsure. Has a pea comb and slate colored legs, with aforementioned white dot on top of head and some more white on tips of wings and a little on chest. (A second chick from the same batch also hatched with almost identical markings.). Does someone with knowledge about genetics care to weigh in? Thanks in advance!

Maybe it was barred rock? They can lay very light eggs but not 100% white, of course.

I can only see the white dot indicating barring. If it is barring then it has to have a barred rock mother, and if that’s the case then it’s a boy.

If this chick develops a crest then the mother was the Polish hen, if not then the mother was a Leghorn.

If it was a polish mother I’d imagine there’d be a visual crest on the chick?

Not if the chick doesn’t have a vaulted skull, the crest won’t be visible at hatch.
The egg was 100% white. Not tan, not off white. Definitely snow-white. I double checked the eggshells right now just to be sure. I found pictures of EE x leghorns and it doesn’t look like either. My best guess is polish? But not sure due to the lack of crest.
 
I presume this is a vaulted skull?

I’ve hatched both fake watermaels and Pyncheons. All the chicks have a visible poof on their head indicating a crest while only 1/5 on average had skull knobs.

Is there a difference between skull knobs and a vaulted skull? Same thing?

Thanks for the posts, guys! I’m hoping polish since I love the breed. Wondering if they’re WCB or BLW...

i’m putting my guess in for the polish hen in middle of the pic.....BLW?....I may have to edit my guess...could the white dot suggest WCB????
