Barnyard Mix 🐥🧐

I’m not too familiar with Silkies and other breeds that have five toes. This barnyard mix appears to have five. Is it a Silkie mix or some other cross maybe?

Are those toes fused? Not sure what the mix is. Could be silkie. You might have to wait longer to see if it develops a small crest or not.

Yeah, both feet have those dual nails off the rear toe. This chick is going to have some serious all weather traction with those things

To my understanding there may have been some Polish and Bantams in the flock as well. This chick is definitely on the smaller side, with no obvious sign of a crest or even a comb. We’ll see what a week or two brings.

Updated Pic - 2 Weeks

It looks like it may have patches of black skin under the shoulder feathers. Under certain lighting conditions, the feathers look gray/moss green, lol. Very curious bird

Yes that’s a silkie I have one that is a showgirl with same toes the dad is a stripper frizzle satin and mom is a showgirl silkie

Looks like a pea comb to me. Since it's a mix it probably will have a mixed comb as well.
