barnyard mix - gender?

My friend dropped off 2 of her chicks (11 wks old) for me to watch for another friend until she moves into her new place. Anyway, my first look at them I thought the mix (some sort of EE mix - came out of a blue egg) looked like a roo. She said oh no, definitely pullet. I've had it for a week now and I'm 90% sure it's a roo. There are pointed saddle feathers coming in now. I tried to get a pic of those but he wouldn't sit still for me unless I was holding him so it was hard to do.
He has VERY rich color that just doesn't come through in pics. He's very pretty and nice.
Just looking for confirmation. She has more experience than me so I need some backup here.

Yes, that's a roo. No hen would have those shiny, pointed "fancy" feathers on the neck and back. I could see, though, where she'd think it was a female because it has a small comb (compared to single-combed birds) and no wattles.
