Barnyard mix?

Hello all!

I acquired a chicken that we thought was a hen at first... Turns out it's a roo! I'm pretty sure it's a barnyard mix but it's feet are HUGE! Any idea what breed(s) it could be?

We got him from a friend... just a fellow chicken enthusiast... Not a breeder or anything which is why I'm pretty sure he's just a barnyard mix.

I agree but I guess what I'm asking is what breed/breeds does he look closest to? I know he's a barnyard mix but his feet are huge... Lol.

Here's one of my cockerels, looks very much like yours. All I can tell you about his parentage is his sire is half Black Australorp. His mother is likely a BPR or RIR. Yep, he's a mutt. Pretty one, though!

Impossible to say for sure. Do you know what breeds your friend has? Males tend to have larger feet in general.

She's got all kinds of chickens as she also takes in rescues so it's hard to say!
