I had a class hatch a dozen of our eggs and a dozen eggs from somewhere else. All of our eggs hatched, but only two of the other farm's eggs hatched (they gave her eggs out of the cooler. Who would do that to a bunch of kids?

Anywho, the chicks came back to us. We have two 18 wk old pullets that look like the one below. This one has breakthrough copper along the back, the other one has copper only on the neck. I know they're not from our farm because we don't have the genetics to produce this coloring. These are barnyard mixes, right? I just wanted to be sure that they weren't a "something."

Thanks! :)

Are there different types of BSL? These look nothing like my BSLs, which are completely black.
