The people I got them from only have australorpe and Barr Rocks.(sorry spelling)..... So that is why I was asking if it could be a hybrid... They do not have Marans.... I was just thinking the leg color looks so different on these two... One is a whitish color and the other is yellow.... Any ideas???
Do the people have both breeds of roosters? Are they all running together?
If the people you got them from have black australorp rooster x barred rock hens = chicks would/ could be black sex link making the roosters barred and the pullets black. And the first chick would could be that cross.
If the people only have barred rock rooster over both barred rock hens and black australorp hens all the chicks will be barred.
This also could be what chick #1 is, barred rock dad x black australorp mom.
Both chicks look to be roosters .
