I was wondering how to get a barred frizzled bantam. Would I breed a barred rooster to a black frizzle hen or would I breed a black frizzle rooster to a barred hen? Post pics if you have any of the barred frizzles.

Hello :frow and Welcome to BYC! You might want to ask on the breeds, genetics and showing board. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/14/breeds-genetics-showing I think with frizzle most people only want the bird with one copy of the gene because of the feather problems frazzles have (double frizzles seem to be called). So if you breed a frizzle about half the chicks should be frizzle. If you breed a barred roo to a black hen you should get all barreds, the other way around you'd get barred roos and black hens? Either way half should be frizzle.

So I should go with the barred rooster to the black frizzle hen?

I think so, hopefully somebody else will answer, forgot, but it also depends if he is pure for barred (2 genes) if he is not, only half his offspring will be, but it shouldn't be sex linked like it would be if you used a black roo over a barred hen.
