Barred Holland or Barred Rock?

Hi all this is Mr. Sparkles. I got him from a lady that was rehoming him due to his continued and unwanted advances on their African goose and male duck. He's about 6~7 months old. He's great with my girls and takes his job seriously. I just want to make sure he's actually a Barred Holland as in the future I'd like to get some hens and start a project on them since they're supposed to be an endangered heritage breed.

I do not, I'm just going off of what I was told. I found an add on the infamous Craigslist and was trying to find my new girls a leading man.

Well, I wouldn't know, but Barred Rocks are much more common. However, if he told you that, I would go with the Barred Holland

Thanks for the links and he does seem to match the pic other than he's not full grown yet, I can't wait to see him reach his full potential.

I didn't notice him limping any outside while free ranging today. I'll definitely catch him and check him out tomorrow morning when I let everyone out to free range. What is bumble foot? So if he does have a problem I'll know what to look for.
