Barred Hollands

Say you have a barred holland that lays white eggs, but more on the creamy side and has poor barring on her feathers. What steps would one take to improve barring and egg color?
Would you breed her to a Leghorn roo? And then the next generation to a BR roo? I am just trying to figure out how this works
