barred oegb and lemon blue oegb

yeah, i agree! Lemon blue sport. So know i ask this.................

What will his offspring with the lemon blue look like? She just started laying 3 days ago and i want to put them in the bator. It's 21 days for bantams right??

A splash is a Sport from a Blue Breeding. Any of the sports of the blue breedings can be showed as Splash at American Bantam Shows

I would say you would get some Lemon Blue and (maybe) some sports. They might not be like him but they would be a sport... If you had a White or a Red Pyle hen in with him you might get some nice Lemon Pyles with some time and breeding..

If you can catch DT on here you might want to PM him and see what he has to say about the cross.. He is good wit the OEGB's...

Lemon Blacks and Splashes are often valuable if mated right.. The light colored Brown Red or Lemon Black mated to a Splashes produce Lemon Blues if the former are Lemon Blue bred. You will get some that are too dark and too dull in color wile some will be proper color. Brown Red mated to a Lemon Blue will produce about 50% of each color.
An exhibition colored male to exhibition color female will produce 25% Brown Red, 50% Lemon Blues and 25% Splash. The Splash are useful when mated to Lemon Blue and will produce 50% Lemon Blues. Among these you find the best show birds. The best cross is a Splash Male to Lemon Blue Female. The Splash X Lemon Blue mating will produce a richer lemon color.

He is a Sport, and breeding Lemon Blue Sport to Lemon Blue will prodice 50% of each, and Sports can not be shown, they are used for a breeding tool only, breeding a Lemon Blue Sport to a Brown Red hen will prodice 100% Lemon Blues, this is why they are used to breed..

Read the book Old English as breed and shown in the united states as long as the sport has no DQ he can be shown in the splash variety no matter which breeding he comes from. He can be from Lemon Blues,Blue Reds, etc. I didn't say he would do good because whats always is showed is a splash from a Blue Old english breeding, but they can be showed.
