So sorry you and your chickens had such a bad experience. I have to think how terrified your chickens must be to stay in the coop now! I line Windows in my coop with lace (even real small Windows). It doesn't do anything to aid in protection but the chickens feel safer if they can hide but it doesn't block air flow. I had problems with foxes and Hawks at one point.
