I followed your thread re celeste when u first posted about her (him?) back in 2017, when i was a lurker and learner. I never forgot her, as im sure others never forgot either. When u no longer posted updates, i was concerned (& sad) that something may have happened to her. So very glad she still visits u, & has now brought a "friend"! I assume they are now a mated pair? Hopefully an owl expert will soon chime in! I live in a very wooded rural area, and barred owls live all around me. Heard one in a big oak tree just last night, vocalizing in that crazy way that earned barred owls the nickname "crazy owl." I sometimes sleep outside on my deck in the early spring so i can hear the mates calling back & forth to each other. I Love barred owls; by far my favorite owl species! They have never bothered my chickens either. Thanku so much for the update on celeste, & now orion. Re celestes visits & your aunt, idk could be! For sure celeste is obviously a very special owl, & she has recognized that you are a very special human! I have no doubt that she communicated to orion that u are a trusted friend!
