Barred Plymouth Rock chicks

These little ones are around 3 weeks old - I’ve been doing plenty of reading on sight sexing them but am struggling! Any suggestions? Head dot photo above:

Both are quite dark, this photo is a bit over exposed.

Still very young, so one can't say for sure. So far they indicate pullets.

much too early, the legs & feet say pullet and the white spots on head. But the other pictures make the feathers look more gray than black Pullets have BLACK barring, cockerels are more a gray color with wide bands of white. Don't bet the farm on my proclamation - just early thoughts - they can change in the blink of an eye

Update : they spent a little time with the 6 week olds today, we took them out when the pecking got a bit much. Will do some more research!

Ok, I can't tell either, but they are just as cute as can be! Barred Rocks are my favorite breed, so for me, I look at their little faces and get the urge to find some babies of my own! Which is insane because I have plenty of girls right now (says every crazy person) & can't accommodate chicks, pullets & the juveniles they'll grow into (likely in my kitchen because what kind of a chicken Mom would I be to keep them anywhere else?) during the confines of the winter months fast approaching.
Someday, I shall have more baby Barred Rock beauties, some day...
