Wishing you the best.

My chickens (I have 4) crow alot but they only crow when they are looking for the others... if 3 come out of the run and go in the yard at 8 AM and the 4th comes out at 9 AM she will crow and crow until I have to go outside and lead her across the yard to the others..

so could it be also because she is just looking for the other chickens?

It seems like it's randomly throughout the day. Confined in the run before I let them out, free-ranging in the yard after I've let them all out, when I'm standing next to her, when I'm across the yard, and when I'm not around. She doesn't seem to be crowing to get something from me, because there is nothing I can tell that she wants.

But she does seem a little beat after a crow. She'll sometimes stretch her neck out with her mouth open and then just not crow, repeated a few times, then kind of hunker down looking fatigued. And then in a minute she'll be fine. It could be something else, but she looks like I feel when dealing with raging hormones.
Poor thing.
